Sometimes the best laid plans go unplanned. Before Jennifer moved in with me, she visited a few months earlier. On our way to pick up some mundane cleaning supplies, we accidently came across The Allentown Farmer's Market. Now, despite living here since the tender age of twenty-four, I'd never been there. Okay, so I don't get out much.
We decided to peruse this uncharted territory and had a freaking blast! We both fell in love with the place. We go there almost every week.
One place stood out above all the others. Clover Farm's has a stand there selling some of the highest quality meats I've ever had a chance to chow down. While I may not get out much, I've had my fair share of high quality cuisine, working at a few dining restaurants before entering the wonderful world of mortgages.
I wrote that Clover Farm's stands out. And I mean it. One of the main reasons for this has to be this guy. When God handed out personalities, he/she went the extra mile with Mr. David. This chap has more personality in his pinky finger than most folks have when popping poppy seeds. And he knows his meat (avoid perverted takes on that comment until a later date;)
While I'd love to list some of the wonderful menu items, I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
And here's a buddy of mine from my bachelor days, when I climbed trees, scaled fences, and spent way too much money at the locally watering hole.
To pre-order any of the fine feasts that can be had, contact David at 610-751-4211. And if you still have money left over to buy a home, contact yours truly at 610-653-0317 or email me at jsardi@ihmci.com.

Jason-Fast fingered Sharon gets to be first<SMILE> Great localism post. That MEAT look delicious. Glad you and your lady love found a place to go that is fun. You have to have as much fun in life as possible especially when you are young. ENJOY your weekend. Catch you next time.
Jason...Directions to a man's heart has to start at the meat counter, if we grazed on grass alone we would be sheep.
Sharon - My first TRUE localism post, with pictures courtesy of Jennifer:) It's good meat. Actually, it's great meat. You have a wonderful weekend as well.
Steve - And the Good Lord knows that I'm not too good at following. Grass is better left smoked, in my book;)
Is she hugging your or strangling you? That I DO LOVE YOU looks co-erced!
Erica - In actuality, we both thought we were taking a picture... didn't know at the time that it was on video mode. For the most part, nothing I do is co-erced. It's rather easy to love Jennifer, harder to love myself.
---- and she probably wants to strangle me, but I ain't easy to kill:)
Jason, I can imagine strangling you would be a bit like working with those balloons they make balloon sculptures out of----squeeze one place and you just pop out somewhere else:)
LOL @ Charles! He definitely pops out ;-))
This vegetarian LOVES my meaty Sardiboy!!!
Ruh roh---do we really have to go there?:) Nice to see you Jennifer----hope you are enjoying the right hand side!
Hi Jason, Looks like just the place for a couple in love to locate all the good eats you need to keep your strength up. Personally I love Farmers Markets and they generally set me back a good bit. Like grocery shopping, if you go on a full stomach, you might save a couple $$ but everything looks so good, it is hard to pass it up.
sardi, sardi, sardi...
.... I will tell you from experience... when you have to state... "... i DO love you..." there will be consequences... I'm sure someone as angelic (both in look and in voice) as "J" hasn't given it a thought, and thinks I'm wrong... but trust me here... I ain't.
Jason- I love the video of you and Jennifer! What a cute couple, discovering romantic hideaways together:)
It takes a good woman to teach a man and to lead him where he needs to go. Nice fun blog!!
Looks like a cool place. It also looks like you are a more social guy than you want people to know...
;^ )
Wow.... Didn't take long for the Old SardiBoy to become domesticated...
Sardi - I love a great meat place, as in the kind you put on the grill. Ok, I loved the other kind of meat places in some earlier epochs of my life. Farmer's markerts can be cool. Be happy you two!
Jason, it is amazing how we can live in one place forevera and still have new things to discover. Using a camera has really opened up a new world for me in Ann Arbor.
Since I paid 5.14 for Deliminco Steak I'm feeling pretty good right now.
The video is priceless.
Hope you 2 continue to get out and find new places that are right under your nose!!!
LOVE the video. And thanks for the heads-up on the market! Looks like they have some really great steaks!! If I am ever in Allentown and doing some grocery shopping I'll be going by there. Just hope it doesn't go bad before I get home!
Looks like a great place to me big guy. We have an Old Timey Meat Market around the corner from our house. Jamie is a vegetarian, so she doesn't get much use out of it, I on the other hand feel it is a wonderful place for my carnivorous ways.
Charles - Good call, my friend. You must have witnessed my escapades in Judo:)
My Jennifer - Be good on "Localism" posts;)
Charles - *Sigh*
William - You nailed it. I learned long ago to do any type of grocery shopping after I'd already eaten.
Alan- I trust you, man. I also try to treat my angel as delicate as the flower she is. I have room for evolvement, I'm sure.
Thank you, Katerina. Like I've written, we didn't know that it was a video until after it was done. That's why I included it. I love unrehearsed stuff.
Barbara - And it takes a good man to recognize a good woman. So far, so good;)
Lane- I'm a moody mofo, my friend. You have a point, yet I can go J.D. Sallinger on folks in a heartbeat.
Dan - Ye of little faith.
Saunders - I hear you on all accounts:)
Missy - I have a feeling that Jennifer being here will unearth a lot of things that I haven't experienced, due in large part to my general distaste for leaving the house. That general distaste will die, I'm sure.
Erica - You can count on that:)
Carol - If you are ever in Allentown, you'd best be visiting me.
JL - My fellow carnivore, it seems we run in similar circles. I have a butcher right up the street. I'm a fair guy, though. I like vegetables as well:)
Jason - Love the post. Will your butcher take the irish punt? Does clover farms have a website?
Of course you love her! Who wouldn't?
Great localism post! Some people are truly blessed with people personalities and it sounds like Mr. David is one of them!
Good for you for posting about a farmers market! It's amazing the quality you can find at most of them. I recently started buying all my fruits from CSAs and it's amazing. Never thought I'd be a part of a community supported agricultural group but they're great!
Patrick - If they do have a website, I couldn't find it. And I'm not sure about the irish punt, I'll have to ask him the next go around:)
Susan - Yes he certainly is.
Krista - True that. After the first time I was there, I was hooked.
'Mr. David' is also an attendee of our local watering hole the Wescoesville Fire House! You are right on the mark about that gent. Personality Plus! As for his Biz, Clover Farms, out of this world! We won a few raffles to introduce us to the specialty burgers they prepare. Needless to say we were hooked!!! This summer the four of us will have to do a cook out, or 10!! Really great piece Mr. Sardi. Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton are great places to explore! Looking forward to more J&J explorations in the weeks and months to come!
Hey lil bro and sweet jennifer! Okay...the markets are great! Video priceless!
Mr. Geary - I didn't know David went there until you told me yesterday morning. Hmmm, perhaps I will join you over that way more often;)
Michael - I'm not sure, my friend. I wasn't born until 1976:)
Sis - I've got to agree.
Hi Jason...Just played that video here in my office "office" and got a few, "Hey what's going on."
That beef looks wonderful. I love it. It certainly explains one of the reasons I'm beefy.
Kate
Dane - Get your hands off your ankles and travel here to Allentown, already:)
Kate - I love meat and the wonderful variety the market offers. I keep pretty active so I'm not beefy... as of yet.
Jason, you guys would have loved the farmers market outside of my apartment here in Paris. It was so freakin' cool to see chickens with heads on! Weird. But cool.
Being a big fan of beef I am sure this would be a regular spot for me if I lived in your area. Nice spotlight on this company Jason!
Hi Jason! GREAT Localism post and congrats on your real FIRST! Looks like a great place to go and I KNOW it's a favorite place for the guys!
And, I think I must be the last to know that you and Jennifer are a couple! Where have I been? I think she is just precious and I'm sure she loves you too!! ;-)
Patricia - That sounds amazing. I hope to someday visit Paris.
Bill - You and me both, Bill.
Debe - I guess you were out of the loop;) She does love me, on most days:)
What a great meat market, and a great write up for sure. It's great to see you happy... I understand being a hermit and always do more when someone makes me get out of the cave. Glad I checked on you today!
Susie - Yes it is. Thank you for the kind words, as always. Have a wonderful weekend!
Russell - Your posts are a magnet for a hunger stimulus. You have a nice weekend as well, kind Sir:)
Jason, So it took Jennifer to get you out having fun! I love that you are starting to write localism posts and this is a great one. You guys look so happy!!!!
Diane - Looks can be deceiving. I'm miserable over here. Please help! I absolutely loathe having someone so beautiful, so smart, so compassionate, and so loving... to wake up to each morning. Yes, I'm more tongue in cheek than a Wimbledon Tail-Gate Party;)
Good job on the Localism post - looks like an excellent place, although odd that they only accept green eyed children as payment. Love the video - looking forward to the sequel.
Sardi... was Jennifer pocking you in the back with a gun to admit that? lol You seemed hesitant... lol Seriously, that was a quick cute video.
