Real Estate Financing...

Dreams Are A Way To Figure Things Out....

I'll tell you right now what I learned about most on this forum.  I learned about myself.  It took a good spanking at times, it took some reading.  It took some wise souls to let me in on what this life is about.....

Life is about turning your head and recognizing....Eye to Eye....whether you will be the cure, or the disease.  There's no in between, at least for me.  Life has been lived way before I was born and probably much later than when I die.  As I peer over my shoulder and out the window, I see flurries of snow scrambling to the ground.  Yet, here I sit.  I'm warm, I'm cozy, I'm content....for now.  Life is a mysterious little player though...

The Real Estate Business is much the same, what did you dream about when you grew up?  For me, I wasn't dreaming about financing houses....I was thinking about finding a place to call home once I left the nest.  My dream was to help others live out their dreams and find myself along my merry little way.  I just wasn't quite sure how I was going to go about doing that.

A couple of weeks back, I looked a colleague in his eyes and simply said, "This is Surreal."  Of course his retort was, "What do you mean?"  What I meant and mean is pretty simple.  We have earned and been bestowed the honor to help others in achieving the American Dream, buying a home.  We drive the economy.  The Mortgage Industry always will.  It is incumbent upon us to do our very best to ensure we make the world a better place by doing our jobs right, ethically, & to the best of our ability.  It is incumbent upon us to help make dreams come true.

Often times I look around Active-Rain and I see some of the best & the brightest in the biz.  It makes me proud to even be a small part of it all.  While darkness lurks around any corner of life, you can't ignore all that is right in this world and Active Rain.

While there is no manual I've read about Life or Real Estate, I do believe there is something we should all realize when passing through.  There is going to be a heck of a lot on your plate, I hope you're hungry.  And at night, when laying your head and bones to rest, your eyes will shut ...

It's time to open them, and live the dream.

Jason,

Oh but what a tangled web we weave! God ...now that I understand you...I'm starting to understand my dog when it barks.

Jason,

Speaking of Dreaming! I have been known to dream a time or two. I try and help as many as possible, while earning a living, but I also know that I can't help everyone. You know I also never had a thought that I would finance homes, but Thats my game now.

Tom - You are pretty cool yourself, Mr. Weiss.

Jason, We have to re-evaluate our dreams and directions our life is taking from time to time.

Posted by Kay Perry (Kay Perry, Broker) over 2 years ago
SARDI:  Very few people dream of being a REALTOR or mortgage broker; it's something that we end up in for one reason or another.  I lived the "dream" somewhat early in my career by working in the music industry and getting to meet many of the artists that I was a fan of.  The thing dreams is that dreams fliter out all of the mudane and leaving us only to dream about the glamour of it all.  Once you actually start living the dream, you realize that it's not as glamourous as it appears to people on the outside.  At this point in my life, this is living the dream because it allows me the flexibility to be a full-time dad, which is the driving force for all of my other dreams.

Midori - Keeping on and focus, So True!

Dan - More times than not......exactly.

Monika - How does it go?....Take the good, take the bad, take them both and there you have the Facts of Life.....:-)  I've regurgitated that comment a time or two, sorry.  But you are right.

Sis - Indeed!

Kay - This whole deal is a process....

Waldman- Living the dream isn't glamorous, but being true to yourself has soooooo much more to offer.  By the way, can you get me Nickleback's autograph, it's snowing here in Allentown...I need some kindling for the fire:-)

Sis - You truly are the sister I never had.  It was absolutely my pleasure!

Yes we are Tom, in the mix of things.....sometimes it doesn't hit home what exactly we do and what exactly our role is.

Jason- beautifully written. I learned a long time ago that dreams change, and people change. One thing that is for certain, when we make great things happen for others, we'll have great things happen to us in return. How awesome that you realize how important your role is in this game called life. Dream On!

What optimism you have and we need this right now.  Everybody needs to feel and live that statement everyday. I feel this way everyday.  I know without doubt that this is exactly what is going to happen.  My plate is full right now, I'm hungry, now I'm just waiting patiently for each dream to take flight.

Jason, very interesting and thought provoking blog.  We all have a purpose, even if we think we are not doing what we are suppossed to be doing.  We are to be the best we can and do the best job possible for our clients and each other.  Our reputation speaks loads above our own words.  We were all given dreams and it is time for us all to step us to the plate and be all that we are meant to be.  Thank you for the blog.  Earl The Pearl Sorrells

Hello Jason, today was the first day of my dream, moving to an office where I can do the deals I want as a Realtor and investor. One day I hope you find a way to live in your dream, and to have the opportunity to answer the question that bothered me ever since I got into Real Estate this time:

Why be satisfied with commission if you can make commission as well as a percentage of the profits. Thought for the year (one of many) Become Your Own Best Client!!!!!! If you find a great deal,( I assume you are always looking) then why would you give away the majority of the profits when you can have both with simple positioning... Jason, if you like videos, I will send you one that will make you think long and-hard about the money you are sending away..in fact , this is out there for all who read this. I cannot believe the amount of Realtors I have met who not only don't own their own home, but don't get involved in investment properties as well.....Just my thoughtsssssssssssss erase if you want...MIke

Posted by Mike Norvell Sr / Norvell Consulting Group (Norvell Consulting Group) over 2 years ago
Typically, I'm not one on erasing Mike.  I'm not a Realtor, I'm on the Mortgage side of things.  I am, however, willing to hear what is said....as long as it's in the best interest of all parties.  Especially the ones I've been fighting for all along....my clients and friends.
