Learn to frown, even if you are Happy!

The Here....The Now.

While I would love to write a masterpiece of magnificient proportions that helps to change the very Industry that helps give me a roof over my head, I'm in 'Quip' Mode.  What is 'Quip' Mode?  It's parsimonious, short & sweet and to the point.  It's not worth 200 points but it looks appealing in retrospect.  Especially considering the (Next Big Thing) will be having your Blog stand in your honor as you lay in your death.  Attention spans lack, so let's get moving!

As far as the title above me, it's very simple.  No matter what shape you are in, yet let's assume you are in very good shape...reaction is a part of interaction.  If I'm on Cloud 9, I expect to be able to understand those whose skies can't even see the clouds.  If I'm Hugh 'Freaking' Heffner, I want to make sure I can still shake the man's hand who sits at the side of the road without a home and still totally understand their situation.  I understand, while Life isn't about waiting to exhale, it's a matter of making sure you inhale...and hope to the high heavens you made the world a tad bit better by exisiting in it.

And this is if you want to listen to something that doesn't sound like the Goo-Goo Dolls on Roids:-)

Jason,  Awesome!  Great music as well and quite apt.  You bring up several interesting points.  Never thought of 'having your Blog stand in your honor as you lay in your death.'  But it is so true.  As the rest I think it's a matter of being grounded and having a sense of who and what you are.  This is not to say that this won't change as we age.  OK, enough bs from me, this is your post.

Jason, having your blog stand in honor as you lay in your death..that's a sad commentary if that's all we've done with our lives!

I inhale every part of my life and hope I've made a difference in the lives of those around me and in the lives of the ones I love.

Jason, the most successful people that I know feel comfortable hanging out with millionaires, mechanics, or monkeys.  Money and material things do not change who they are as a person or how they relate to others.  That's the best way to live your life.  Never consider others as beneath you, but rather treat everyone on the level.  The brokers, or presidents of companies or countries who forget this are sure to be the ones to meet resentment and failure.

Jason ~  I appreciate that you feel that way.  Perhaps I have too much hope, too much faith.   Even when I am sad, I smile, because I know that the next day or whatever will be  new one and it holds soo much potential!

Marc - I had a very nice retort to your very astute comment, then I lost it with one computer glitch.  Spread B.S. on my post any day of the week, that's part of the reason why it's even here.

Linda - I Agree!!!  If lives are worth living, the breaths are worth breathing:-)

Brian - Sweet love of God Man, you are onto something and it's not what Jimi Hendrix laced his Bandana with.  If we are on the same wavelength here, leaders can do and already have done, they don't act unless they've already acted?

Sarah -  You are sweet by nature.  I'm not quite sure there is such a thing as too much hope, too much faith.  I live upon both.  Now, I have to work on the 'Sweet' thing;-)

Jason,

One rule I live by now...Be myself and let the world deal with it. There are big rocks and pebbles in life. Big rocks make big splashes and the ripples go on forever, affecting everything they come into contact with. Pebbles slide into the water of their existance with barely a ripple and no splash. Some are content being a pebble and others can't avoid being a huge rock.

Our blogs aren't our legacies in life...at least not this one. It can't be. The pond's not large enough!!

Trevino - I apologize man, I needed to talk to you more than I did.  I knew that then and you reminded me just now.  Just out of sheer curiousity, check this out....

Understand?

Jason - I don't want my blog to be the thing that I'm remembered for after I'm gone. It is just not that important to me. I would hope that my friends and family will remember me fondly. I hope the community I live in will be a little better off than when I came here. Not high expectations I know, but to me those are the important things in life..Not my blog, not money, not fame.

Jason, big-up, high-5 or whatever the slang is in your area for kudos. Don't forget or ignore the people that are as lucky or going through a rough patch. Glad to see there are caring people out there..
Jason, use your super pwoers to help others, my brother. I hope to leave this world leaving a mark not only on this tiny blue planet, but in the souls of those that dwell within it... (animals included).

peace and scalp-grease.. :)

Jason, I gotta say that I am glad I didn't grow up with a trust fund and such... I'm afraid that if I had, I would have missed out on a lot of stories that are now all a part of me... I just think that in a way it's easier to 'get' people from all walks of life if one had lived, passionately; if one had laughed and cried... I have met the 'perpetual tourists' in my life who take a picture, but done' t take it in... Hope that I always remember to 'forget' my camera.
thx for a great post!

I am at my happiest when I am feeling like I am making a difference in someone's life...sometimes they are happy too but just as you write, sometimes they are at their lowest.  It's not about me!  BTW, I saw Davie Bowie in 1972 and I'm not going to tell you what he did with the microphone and a skull:)

Jason, these are noble endeavors, and to some extent, a gift.  Many people simply are not capable of reaching a level of compassion and selflessness.  A few people possess it.  The rest of us need reminders like this to stay the course (with a few effups along the way).  Nice post- thanks!

(and people that smile all the time scare me).

Jason, you've got that "sweet thing" already.  This post made me smile and you always make me think.  You can't always fit in someone else's shoes, but you sure can try to share the view from their path.

I too hope I have much more to be remembered by than a blog..Even though lately a few localism posts made my phone ring...Today I was with my twin granddaughters and we saw Alvin and The Chipmunks...that time was more important than blogs, but I realize there is a need for balance. I do like how you make an effort to make-the world a  better place just be being here. I take it one strp further to say there are those that are worth helping more than others. Take a 100 dollar bill and give it to one needy family at the right time, you can make a small difference...Take the same 100 and divide it amongst  20 families and while you did give 100 bucks, not much of an impact...

I say take a few souls along with you as you move forward, and offer smiles to all, or at least most. Its a tough world, do what you can. One last thing. while I am on this weird tangent, many of the drownings reported are of someone who got pulled down by the one they thought they were going to  save.....

On a more positive note, Jason..Did you know that marrige is the number one cause of Divorce??

Posted by Mike Norvell Sr / Norvell Consulting Group (Norvell Consulting Group) about 1 year ago

Mike... We agree. But then, like magic... the perfect one steps in your way and all that wisdom flies out the window. I sure hope it happens to you too! :-)

[btw... I'm an expert swimmer. Noone drowns on my watch]

Mike - just a quick thought regarding your point about marriage/divorce....

They say that over 50% of all marriages end in divorce, but all the others end in death (makes divorce sound a bit more palatable). :-)

Ricardo - I smell what you are cooking.

Sandra - I've read your blog, no worries there:-)  Kidding!  Actually, what you lay out is probably what it is all about in the end.

Nick - Love ya man!  Throw some of that scalp grease my way:-)

Sis - Checking it out now, finally....

Inna - Astute comment and I think we all could do a better job of sucking the marrow out of life.  I loved the movie, "Dead Poet's Society."

Diane - Oh, come on!  Do tell!!

Laurie - I rarely smile but that doesn't mean I'm not happy....just that I forgot to brush my teeth:-)

Elaine - Why thank you.  I don't get accused of having that 'Sweet Thing' often....

Jennifer - Yes I do, just don't kill me off:-)

Jennifer - I will check that out....hmmmmmmm...

Lisa - It's the old 'Two Ears/One Mouth' thing....

Mike - Yeah, I kind of assumed that.  Then again, I also believe in having a Soul-Mate.

Jennifer - Right on target my dear!

Donald - Thank you Sir, that's a high compliment.  Your addition to AR has been fantastic.

Rey - Yeah, I was even able to interact with that Belonger character recently:-)

LMAO @ Joseph.....Perfect!
