A Blogger's Prayer

I wrote this comment on a fellow Blogger's Post back in May.  I simply re-worded this very famous prayer/piece of poetic prose

God grant me the passion
to blog & help my audience & my pocketbook;
the courage to write for myself;
yet keeping the consumer's best interests as my reason for ultimately being here.

Living one blog at a time;
Enjoying one blog at a time;
Accepting un-featured posts as the pathway to peace;
Taking this Blogging World
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that to the consumer I will do right
if I remain selfless;
That I may be reasonably happy in this Blogging Life
and supremely happy with my contribution
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Damn, I still have a lot of work to do...

... and I can't help but to think of this comedic montage:-)

Jason, you are a poet and a pray-er?  Pretty cool.  I started to say something about Jesus but thought better of iit.

Posted by Patricia Kennedy (Evers & Company Realtors) about 1 year ago

Like a pig in... yup @ Neal.

Patricia - Neither.  I just play one on television Active Rain.

I always wonder about those days we are reduced to writing prayers and poems. What does that say about us, Jason?

I love that writing like this spews out of you. I am forever, a Sardi fan.

Sardi.... very cool.  It has a ring to it and almost like another prayer that is out there.  Nice job.

Pocketbook?  That's what my grandmother called it.

Your new take on the serenity prayer was witty, cute & funny.  KM

Ditto Kristin. Especially when I consider what you COULD have done with it.

Jason,
Quite poetic and cute, glad this is the direction you took with it.

Mr. Sardi, this edition of your life was worth it just to get to the end of the Seinfeld clip ~ Serenity now, Sanity later. How true. Hey bud, don't take this blogging stuff too seriously. Trust me, it's vastly overrated!!

Thank you Reverand Sardi....I feel so cleansed after reading this......Bless me J...for I have sinned.

Janet- And it was your blog in which I wrote that.  Shoot, what does that say about us?  Many things, I'm sure.  Above all, passion bleeds through our veins.

Belonger- Grazie, it sounds like because it is from.  I just minced words along the way...

Kristin - Another thing in this life that has me stirring is that all of my grandparents were gone before I got to know them, I think I was about 16 years old when my Dad's Dad passed away.  There is wisdom in our elders, I've always respected that and of course would like a piece of the more healthy pocketbooks;-)

My Jennifer - One of these days, yeah... you are write right.  Meanwhile, and I've noticed this before, look to your right... I've got more tags than (insert your own analogy or I'll use mine.)  If the latter, I'll have to make it Members Only;-)

Cynthia - Yeah, I guess it could of gone a few different routes... at the least.

Katerina -  I've arrived?  Wow, didn't even know I was showing up.  On some levels, you are right though.  I suppose, at least on this forum, I could submit something akin to "How to transpose your Underwater Basket Weaving techniques into a more refined Real Estate Lead Generation System" and probably get some response.  If I get a response I can't immediately retort too, I'll use the line, "I've arrived."

Gary - "Hey bud, don't take this blogging stuff too seriously. Trust me, it's vastly overrated!!"  How so?  Come on, I want to see the edgy...

Larry - If I needed another smart ass in my life, I'd ask my dear brother to moon me.  Apparently though, no need.  I've got your crap to deal with, Larry.  Tell ya what, kneel before the king of kings and take a pungent dump on heaven's door.  Or, slap me and let's grab a beer when I'm over that way.

I wish that I cold get my creative juices flowing again.

Midori - The original is among the best I've had the honor of reading.

Lola - Yeah, I'm pretty sure about that.

Belonger - Oh, now we are political and stuff;-)  You have a good weekend too, my man.

Tom - I'd call you Burris but Belonger may get jealous that I'm flirting with you.  On a serious note, I learn a lot from you folks in regards to the mortgage industry and lending.  As far as those creative juices, that may be one thing I can actually help you with.  We should actually talk, soon.

Hi Jason, I see nothing wrong with any prayer asking for what you want. At least you are really clear about what you want and what could make you happy. And you know what, I bet GOD ( who I also think has to have a sense of humor) appreciates it when people get to the point.

Hey Jason - ya' think blogging might have something to do with the afterlife??  Sure is an interesting perspective to ponder :) :)

William - God has to have a sense of humor to create us interesting species:)

Renee - I suppose it is.  Blogging in the afterlife... oh brother.
